THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND PILATES
Pilates is a total body conditioning program that is based on and incorporates a series of principles. It draws from many diverse exercise styles, theruling principles bring all these elements together under the Pilates Method.
Pilates will assist in building strength, flexibilty and correct breathing, with a focus on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, rather than developing muscle mass. Pilates emphasises the core muscles groups of the deep abdominals and the pelvis/lower back thereby creating the stability we require in our day to day activities.
